What Michael Neal Used to Finish 2nd at the MLF BPT on Dale Hollow

Congrats to Michael Neal - who finished up in 2nd place last week at the MLF BPT on Dale Hollow!

"It worked out great this week. Today especially - I caught most of my fish on a 3/8 oz. head, and the Kovert 7' 6" Medium (KW762MS) was the rod I was using - and I like that rod because it lets you throw this heavier bait and it also let's you throw it away from your boat at a good distance. When these fish have got a lot of pressure, the further you can throw, the better off you are."

Tennessee native Michael Neal became one of the youngest anglers in history to compete in the FLW Tour when he kicked off his pro career in 2012. Neal won Stage Seven of the Bass Pro Tour on Lake St. Clair in 2021, just a month after securing the Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit Angler of the Year title. In 2022, Neal claimed his second Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit Angler of the Year title in back-to-back fashion, becoming the third pro to win AOY in consecutive years and the sixth pro to win multiple AOY titles.
